Appeals court temporarily blocks judge’s ruling to return control of National Guard to California

A US court put a hold on a judge’s order. The order asked President Donald Trump to return National Guard troops to California. These troops were deployed after Los Angeles protests over immigration raids. The court will hear the matter on June 17. California Governor Gavin Newsom had earlier praised the judge’s initial ruling.
