Ten years ago, a man named Manoj insulted and assaulted the mother of Sonu Kashyap, sparking a relentless pursuit for vengeance. This incident set Sonu on a decade-long quest through the streets of Lucknow, driven by a burning desire to avenge his mother’s humiliation. The story, reminiscent of a dramatic Bollywood plot, unfolded with Sonu’s unwavering determination to find Manoj and settle the score.

The Plot for Revenge

Sonu’s resolve never wavered as he meticulously planned his retribution. About three months prior to the incident, he finally located Manoj in the Munshi Pulia area of Lucknow. With newfound determination, Sonu began observing Manoj’s daily routine, crafting a detailed plan to exact his revenge. However, he needed assistance to carry out his scheme.

Recruiting Allies for the Act

To execute his plan, Sonu enlisted the help of four friends—Ranjeet, Adil, Salamu, and Rehmat Ali—promising them a celebratory party in return for their involvement. On May 22, after Manoj closed his coconut water shop for the day and was alone, they ambushed him with iron rods. The brutal attack left Manoj severely injured, and he later succumbed to his injuries during medical treatment.

Following the murder, Sonu fulfilled his promise by hosting a lavish liquor party for his accomplices. During this celebration, photos were taken and shared on social media platforms. Unbeknownst to them, these images would become crucial evidence for law enforcement. The police had been struggling with a blind investigation until they identified one of the suspects from CCTV footage wearing an orange t-shirt that matched one seen in the social media posts.
