Fatal Accident Claims Lives of Two DSPs

In a tragic incident, two Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) from the Andhra Pradesh Intelligence Department lost their lives in a road accident. The accident occurred early Saturday morning around 4:45 am on the Kaithapuram village road. The officers, identified as Chakradhar Rao and Shantha Rao, were traveling to Hyderabad in connection with a case when their vehicle was involved in a fatal collision.

Sequence of Events Leading to the Crash

The accident unfolded when the DSPs’ car attempted to avoid an initial collision by swerving, which led to the vehicle hitting a road divider. Unfortunately, this maneuver placed them directly in the path of an oncoming lorry, resulting in a head-on collision. Another account suggests that the lorry, traveling on the opposite side of the divider, veered off its path and struck the officers’ car.

Injuries and Immediate Response

Additional Superintendent of Police Durga Prasad and driver Narsing Rao were also in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Both sustained serious injuries and were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. Their current condition remains critical as they receive treatment.
