Tragic Incident in Surat: A Family Torn Apart

In a heart-wrenching incident in Dindoli, Surat, a 41-year-old school teacher named Alpeshbhai Kantibhai Solanki took the drastic step of poisoning his two young children before ending his own life. The tragedy unfolded after Alpeshbhai suspected his wife, Phalguni bhai, of having an extramarital affair. The couple’s children, aged 7 and 2, were found lifeless alongside their father when relatives forced entry into their home.

Discovery and Investigation

The grim discovery was made when Phalguni bhai, a clerk at the Zila panchayat office, failed to reach her husband by phone. Concerned, she arrived at their residence to find the doors locked. With the help of relatives, she broke into the house only to be met with the devastating scene. Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijay Singh Gurjar confirmed the details of the incident and stated that a suicide note, two diaries, and videos on Alpeshbhai’s mobile were recovered as part of the investigation.

Allegations and Arrests

Following the incident, Alpeshbhai’s brother lodged a complaint with the police, alleging that Phalguni bhai was involved in an affair with Naresh Kumar Rathod. Both Phalguni and Naresh have been arrested as part of the ongoing investigation. The police are examining the contents of the diaries and suicide note, which reportedly detail Alpeshbhai’s distress over his wife’s alleged infidelity.

Emotional Turmoil Documented

One diary was specifically addressed to his wife, outlining his feelings and the impact of the suspected affair on his mental health. The couple reportedly had frequent arguments over these suspicions.
