Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) is venturing into pumped storage power, planning a 500 MW plant at Medipalli near Ramagundam. SCCL has entrusted WAPCOS Limited with preparing a detailed project report for this innovative project, utilizing the existing mine water sump and constructing a new surface reservoir.
