Sharjah has introduced eight days of paid marriage leave for government employees, as part of a new human resources decree by Ruler Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi. The law also offers extended care leave for mothers of children needing special care, introduces part-time work options, prioritizes citizen employment, and launches a new veterinary system in the emirate.
