National Security Advisor Ajit Doval has openly criticized foreign media for their portrayal of Operation Sindoor, challenging them to provide evidence of any damage to Indian infrastructure caused by Pakistani strikes. Speaking at the 62nd convocation of IIT Madras, Doval highlighted the perceived bias in foreign media reports, which he claims inaccurately depicted the events surrounding the operation.
Operation Sindoor was launched following a terror attack in Pahalgam, aimed at delivering a strong response to Pakistan’s terror-related activities. On the night of May 9th and 10th, the Indian Air Force, with support from other forces, targeted Pakistani air bases across the country. The operation involved firing approximately 15 BrahMos missiles to disrupt Pakistan’s air force capabilities and their Chinese-supported air defense systems.
Doval emphasized the significant role of indigenous defense technologies during Operation Sindoor. He praised India’s homegrown systems, such as the BrahMos missiles and integrated air control systems, for their precision and effectiveness. The operation successfully targeted nine terrorist sites within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, demonstrating India’s advanced military capabilities.
Highlighting the importance of technological advancement, Doval described Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a transformative force that India must prioritize. He stressed that AI’s diverse applications across various sectors, including defense, medicine, and finance, make it crucial for India’s development and leadership on the global stage.
Following retaliatory actions by Pakistan, Indian forces inflicted significant damage on Pakistani air bases, including the Nur Khan base. Subsequently, a cessation of hostilities was agreed upon by the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) from both countries.
