Amarnath Yatra 2025: Over 20,000 Pilgrims Visit Sacred Cave; Third Group Departs Jammu

The Amarnath Yatra 2025 has seen a significant turnout, with more than 20,000 devotees having already visited the revered Amarnath cave. The pilgrimage, which is one of the most sacred in Hinduism, continues to attract thousands of worshippers from across India and beyond. Recently, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board’s Yatri Niwas Complex in Baltal, a move aimed at enhancing facilities for the pilgrims. This complex is expected to provide better accommodation and services to those undertaking the arduous journey. The third batch of pilgrims, numbering 6,411, has departed from Jammu, marking another milestone in this year’s Yatra. These pilgrims will traverse the challenging routes of Pahalgam and Baltal to reach the shrine nestled in the Himalayas. The journey is not only a test of faith but also of endurance, as it involves trekking through rugged terrains and high altitudes. Security measures have been heightened to ensure the safety of all participants. Both routes are under tight surveillance, with security personnel deployed at strategic points to prevent any untoward incidents. This comprehensive security arrangement is crucial given the large number of people involved and the remote location of the shrine. The successful management of such a large-scale event reflects the coordinated efforts of various government agencies and local authorities. The smooth progress of the Yatra so far is a testament to their meticulous planning and execution. As more batches prepare to embark on this spiritual journey, authorities remain vigilant to maintain order and provide necessary support to all pilgrims.
