In a disturbing incident in Andhra Pradesh, a man named Vishwanath was allegedly murdered by his father-in-law, Venkataramanappa, due to an affair and a property dispute. Vishwanath, who was married to Venkataramanappa’s elder daughter, Shyamala, reportedly began an affair with her younger sister shortly after their marriage 20 years ago. This affair led to significant family discord, straining relationships not only between Vishwanath and his wife but also between Venkataramanappa and his spouse.
The tensions within the family were further exacerbated when Vishwanath allegedly attempted to sell land registered in his mother-in-law’s name. This action reportedly infuriated Venkataramanappa, who was already troubled by the ongoing affair. The property dispute added fuel to the already volatile situation, leading to heightened animosity.
Driven by rage, Venkataramanappa allegedly devised a plan to murder Vishwanath. He enlisted the help of his friend Katamayya, reportedly offering him Rs 4 lakh to assist in carrying out the murder. On July 3, Katamayya allegedly lured Vishwanath from Kadiri to Mudigubba under the guise of providing financial assistance for agricultural purposes.
Upon arriving in Mudigubba, Vishwanath was reportedly ambushed by Venkataramanappa, Katamayya, and three other accomplices. They allegedly took him to a secluded hilly area where they murdered him in a brutal manner, beheading and dismembering his body. The gruesome nature of the crime shocked the local community.
The police investigation utilized cellphone tower location data, which placed the phones of Venkataramanappa, Katamayya, and the three other individuals at the crime scene. This crucial evidence led to their arrest. The case highlights the severe consequences of unresolved family disputes and underscores the importance of addressing conflicts through legal and peaceful means.
