Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, has reportedly taken a significant step in his personal life by getting engaged to Saaniya Chandok. The news, which surfaced on Wednesday night, has sent social media into a frenzy, with multiple reports suggesting that the young cricketer held a private engagement ceremony. Despite the widespread speculation, neither Arjun nor Saaniya’s families have released an official statement confirming the engagement. The public eagerly awaits their response to these claims.

Saaniya Chandok’s Notable Family Background

According to reports from India Today, Saaniya Chandok is the granddaughter of Ravi Ghai, a prominent Mumbai entrepreneur known for his contributions to the hospitality and food industries. The Ghai family owns the InterContinental hotel and Brooklyn Creamery, making them well-known figures in Mumbai’s business circles. The engagement ceremony was reportedly an intimate affair attended only by close friends and family members from both sides.

Arjun Tendulkar’s Cricketing Journey

Arjun Tendulkar is not just known for his famous lineage but also for his promising cricket career. A left-arm pacer who can contribute with the bat, Arjun plays domestic cricket for Goa. In his First-Class career, he has taken 37 wickets and scored 532 runs across 17 matches. In T20s, he has claimed 27 wickets and scored 119 runs in 24 games. Additionally, he has participated in 18 List A matches, securing 25 wickets and scoring 102 runs.

Arjun’s IPL Experience with Mumbai Indians

Arjun made his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut with Mumbai Indians in 2023. During that season, he played four matches and took three wickets. Although he had limited opportunities in the following season, playing just one game without taking a wicket, his first IPL wicket was notably against Bhuvneshwar Kumar of SunRisers Hyderabad. Retained by Mumbai Indians for the 2024 season, Arjun was bought for INR 30 lakh during the subsequent mega auction.
