In a daring robbery reminiscent of a movie scene, three masked men stormed into a jewelry store in Bengaluru, making off with a significant amount of gold. The incident occurred at Ram Jewellers, located in the Bhairaveshwara complex on Magadi Road, just as the shop was about to close for the day. The entire heist was recorded by CCTV cameras installed inside the store, providing crucial evidence for the ongoing investigation.
As the shopowner, Kannaiya Lal, prepared to shut down for the evening, the robbers entered with guns drawn. They quickly began grabbing gold ornaments displayed on the table. Despite Mr. Lal’s attempts to resist and raise an alarm, he and his staff were overpowered and pushed aside by the assailants.
The commotion alerted neighboring shopkeepers who rushed to assist, but the robbers had already fled with approximately 184 grams of gold. The swift execution of their plan left little time for intervention, highlighting the need for increased security measures in commercial areas.
A case has been filed with the Madanayakanahalli police station. Authorities are meticulously reviewing the CCTV footage to identify the culprits and gather more evidence. Initial findings suggest that the gun used during the robbery may have been fake. Several individuals are currently being questioned as part of the investigation.
This brazen robbery has raised concerns among local business owners about safety and security. The incident underscores the importance of robust security systems and prompt police response to deter such crimes in the future.
