Arrest Made in Hospital Murder of Bihar Gangster; All Suspects Identified

Arrest in Hospital Shooting of Notorious Gangster

In a significant development, police have made the first arrest in the shocking murder of a gangster at Paras Hospital in Bihar. The incident involved five armed men who entered the hospital and fatally shot Chandan Mishra, a notorious criminal with multiple murder charges against him. Mishra was on parole for medical treatment when the attack occurred. The police have apprehended Tausif, one of the suspects, and identified all others involved. Efforts are underway to capture the remaining culprits through extensive raids across various locations.

CCTV Footage Reveals Chilling Details

CCTV footage from the hospital has provided crucial evidence, showing the assailants brandishing firearms, loading them, and entering Mishra’s cabin before fleeing the scene. This brazen act has raised questions about hospital security and whether any staff members were complicit in the crime. The police are investigating these angles to ensure all involved parties are brought to justice.

Rivalry and Criminal Background

Chandan Mishra, originally from Buxar district, was transferred to Bhagalpur jail before being admitted to Paras Hospital. His criminal history includes numerous murder cases, making him a target for rival gangs. Authorities suspect that a rival faction orchestrated this attack as part of an ongoing gang feud. The Buxar police are collaborating with other law enforcement agencies to dismantle the Chandan Sheru gang responsible for this heinous act.

Political Repercussions Amidst Rising Crime

The murder has intensified political tensions in Bihar, especially with upcoming elections. Recent weeks have seen a spate of murders targeting prominent figures like businessmen and political leaders. Opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav has criticized the ruling JDU-BJP coalition for failing to maintain law and order, questioning public safety across the state.

Government’s Response to Law and Order Concerns

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha has promised swift action against those responsible for the crime, emphasizing that such incidents will be thoroughly investigated. Meanwhile, Bihar’s Director General of Police Vinay Kumar highlighted efforts to curb crime rates, noting a decrease in murders compared to previous years. Despite these assurances, public concern remains high as authorities work to restore confidence in the state’s security measures.
