Tennis player Radhika Yadav, aged 25, was tragically shot dead by her father at their home in the upscale Sushant Lok area of Gurugram. The autopsy report confirmed that she was shot four times. This shocking incident occurred on a Thursday, leaving the community in disbelief and mourning.

Father’s Confession and Arrest

Deepak Yadav, Radhika’s 49-year-old father, confessed to the crime and was subsequently arrested. According to police statements, Deepak admitted to shooting his daughter due to ongoing disputes over her tennis academy. He reportedly felt taunted for relying on her income and was unhappy with her running the academy.

Dispute Over Tennis Academy

The conflict between Radhika and her father centered around the tennis academy she managed. Gurugram police spokesperson Sandeep Singh revealed that Deepak had repeatedly asked Radhika to close the academy, which led to frequent altercations. Despite his financial stability from rental income, Deepak objected to his daughter’s professional pursuits.

Police investigations revealed that Deepak fired at least five shots, three of which struck Radhika in the back, resulting in her immediate death. The weapon used was a licensed .32 bore revolver owned by Deepak.
