Country music star Carly Pearce recently experienced an unusual accident involving a bottle of ranch dressing. The 35-year-old singer shared her story on TikTok, where she appeared with her right thumb wrapped in a bandage. While applying makeup, Pearce recounted how she cut her thumb while attempting to open a glass bottle of ranch dressing. The mishap occurred after one of her shows when the bottle unexpectedly snapped, causing a piece of glass to cut her thumb. Initially, her fiddle player and assistant thought it was a minor injury, but they soon realized it was more serious when blood began to flow.
Fortunately for Pearce, paramedics were present at the concert venue and quickly assessed her injury. They confirmed there was no glass remaining in the wound but advised that she needed stitches. Pearce was then transported to the hospital via ambulance, where she underwent an X-ray to ensure no glass fragments were left in her thumb. The ER doctors confirmed she required stitches due to the location of the cut, which was right on the crease of her thumb.
Pearce humorously described how the stitches have affected her daily routine, mentioning that she had to adapt to doing things differently. She even joked about needing assistance with tasks like shaving her left armpit due to the limited mobility in her hand. Despite the inconvenience, Pearce expressed gratitude that the injury wasn’t more severe and considered decorating her bandage for upcoming performances.
Fans responded with humor and support in the comments section of her TikTok video, with some jokingly blaming ranch dressing for the incident. Pearce has several performances scheduled, including a show in Costa Mesa, California, and an appearance at the ACM Honors in Tennessee. Earlier this year, she completed her Hummingbird world tour and performed at Stagecoach for the first time in nearly a decade.
