Charges Dropped Against Doctor Accused of Destroying COVID Vaccines

Pam Bondi Announces Dismissal of Charges

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced on Saturday that all charges against Dr. Kirk Moore, a Utah-based plastic surgeon accused of destroying COVID-19 vaccines and administering fake shots to children, have been dropped. Bondi stated on social media platform X that the decision was made under her direction, emphasizing that Dr. Moore provided patients with a choice when the federal government did not. She expressed relief that Moore would no longer face potential decades-long imprisonment.

Background on the Allegations

Dr. Moore was indicted by a federal grand jury in January 2023, facing accusations of destroying over $28,000 worth of COVID-19 vaccines and fraudulently distributing vaccination record cards. Prosecutors alleged that Moore and his co-defendants operated a scheme through the Plastic Surgery Institute of Utah Inc., intending to defraud the United States and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The trial commenced on Monday, with Moore facing severe legal consequences.

Support from Political Figures

The case attracted attention from political figures such as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who publicly supported Dr. Moore, describing him as a hero rather than a criminal. Greene criticized the charges as being politically motivated under President Biden’s administration and praised Bondi for her swift action in dropping them. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. also commended Moore for his courage in April.

Controversy Surrounding Pam Bondi

Bondi’s decision to drop the charges comes amidst calls for her resignation from some supporters of former President Trump, following a joint review by the Justice Department and FBI regarding an alleged Jeffrey Epstein client list. The review concluded there was no such list, and Epstein’s death in 2019 was ruled a suicide. The controversy has led to internal tensions within the Justice Department, with FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino reportedly considering resignation after a dispute with Bondi over the handling of Epstein-related files.
