Starting in 2026, CBSE will implement a biannual Class 10 board exam system, offering students two chances each academic year—one mandatory and one optional for improvement. As per NEP-2020, the move aims to reduce exam stress and increase flexibility. Students may improve up to three subjects, and only the best score will be retained. The policy includes specific rules for special categories, result handling, and provisional Class XI admission based on first exam results.
