In Nagpur, a dramatic turn of events has unfolded within the notorious Ippa gang. The gang is on a relentless pursuit to find and punish one of their own, Arshad Topi, following the tragic death of their leader’s wife. The incident occurred during a clandestine meeting between Topi and the woman, who were romantically involved. On Thursday, while riding a motorcycle together, they were involved in an accident with a JCB machine. Topi sustained minor injuries, but the woman was critically injured.

The situation escalated when a patrolling vehicle from Koradi Thermal Plant arrived at the scene and transported the injured woman to a private hospital. Unfortunately, she was denied treatment there and at another hospital in Kamptee. It was only after Topi paid an ambulance driver that she was admitted to Nagpur’s Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). Despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries on Friday morning.

CCTV footage from GMCH captured Topi accompanying the injured woman, which fueled suspicions within the gang. As news of her death spread, the Ippa gang accused Topi of betrayal and declared him a traitor. They suspect that he may have intentionally caused her death rather than it being an accident.

In response to these accusations and fearing for his life, Topi sought protection from the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Pardi. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the DCP directed him to Koradi police station for further safety measures and to record his statement. Despite ongoing investigations by senior police officers indicating that the woman’s death was accidental, Topi remains in hiding as tensions within the gang continue to rise.
