In a disturbing incident in Ghaziabad, an elderly woman was violently assaulted by her daughter-in-law, Akanksha, while her own mother recorded the altercation on a mobile phone. The event unfolded at their home following a verbal dispute, as captured by CCTV footage dated July 1. The footage reveals that three women were involved in the incident, with one acting as a bystander filming the entire episode.
The minute and 28-second-long CCTV recording begins with an argument between Akanksha and her mother-in-law. Akanksha is seen arriving with two small bags, indicating she had just returned from somewhere. Her mother stands nearby with a cross-body bag and a mobile phone, documenting the confrontation. As tensions escalate, Akanksha’s mother-in-law sits on the staircase’s first step but rises to snatch the phone upon realizing she is being recorded. This action triggers a physical altercation.
Akanksha intervenes by slapping her mother-in-law and aggressively pushing her down, repeatedly striking her on the head. Despite attempts by Akanksha’s mother to separate them, she is unsuccessful. The situation intensifies as Akanksha sets down her bags and her mother-in-law attempts to seek help by knocking on a nearby door. However, Akanksha pulls her back, pins her against the wall, and forcefully drags her down the staircase after she falls.
The confrontation concludes when the door opens, and Akanksha drags her mother-in-law inside the house. Following this incident, it was revealed that Akanksha is a software engineer married to Antariksh for two and a half years. While Antariksh works in Gurugram, Akanksha operates from home. A police case has been registered at Ghaziabad’s Kavi Nagar Police Station, and an investigation is currently underway.
