Hooda Criticizes BJP for Gurugram’s Infrastructure Issues

Hooda Labels Gurugram as ‘Sink City’

During a recent Parliament session, Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda sharply criticized the BJP-led Haryana government for the deteriorating civic infrastructure in Gurugram. Hooda referred to the city as a “sink city” and “Koodagram,” highlighting significant issues such as persistent waterlogging and inadequate sewage management. These problems, he argued, have turned Gurugram into a symbol of urban decay.

Infrastructure Stagnation Under BJP Rule

Hooda accused the current administration of failing to advance infrastructure projects that were initiated during the Congress’s tenure. He claimed that these projects have stagnated under the BJP’s governance, leading to worsening conditions in the city. The lack of progress on these initiatives has contributed to the growing urban woes faced by residents.

Call for Government Accountability

In his address, Hooda challenged the BJP government to acknowledge these pressing issues and take immediate corrective action. He urged them to prioritize resolving the infrastructure problems that have plagued Gurugram, emphasizing the need for accountability and effective governance. Hooda’s remarks underscore a broader call for improved urban planning and management in one of India’s key economic hubs.
