Authorities have released a series of haunting photographs depicting the aftermath of the brutal murders of four University of Idaho students. The crime took place in an off-campus residence at 1122 King Road, Moscow, Idaho, in November 2022. The images, captured by the Moscow Police Department and obtained by NBC News, provide a chilling glimpse into the scene following Bryan Kohberger’s violent attack on Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin.

Among the 200 photos released, one particularly unsettling image shows a large handprint on a window of the three-story home. The interior was left frozen in time, with blood-stained walls and floors marking the site of a horrific confrontation. Personal items were scattered throughout the house, including a blood-stained pink blanket and a teddy bear. These images serve as crucial evidence in understanding the sequence of events that unfolded during the attack.

Sequence of Events and Victim Details

Police documents reveal that Goncalves and Mogen were found side by side, covered by a pink blanket soaked in blood. Kernodle suffered over 50 stab wounds, many of which were defensive, while Goncalves endured more than 20 stab wounds. Authorities believe Mogen was killed first, followed by Goncalves. Kernodle and Chapin were later attacked as Kohberger moved through the house.

Bryan Kohberger was sentenced to four consecutive life sentences without parole for these heinous crimes. This outcome was part of a plea deal where Kohberger confessed to avoid the death penalty. Additionally, he received a 10-year sentence for felony burglary.
