SummerSlam Night 1 commenced with an electrifying tag-team match at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The event featured Roman Reigns and Jey Uso facing off against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, who were accompanied by Paul Heyman. This match marked Reigns’ return to the ring after Heyman’s betrayal at WrestleMania 41, where he aligned himself with Seth Rollins. Breakker and Reed have since joined Rollins and Heyman, creating a formidable alliance.
The match began with an all-out brawl as Reigns and Uso unleashed their aggression on Breakker and Reed. Despite their initial dominance, Breakker managed to regain control by dragging Reigns outside the ring. The momentum shifted back and forth as both teams showcased their skills. Breakker’s flying elbow temporarily knocked out Reigns, while Reed and Breakker worked together to isolate Uso from his partner.
Despite being cornered, Uso found an opportunity to tag in Reigns, who re-entered the match with renewed vigor. Reigns executed a spectacular flipping dive over the ropes, taking down both opponents. However, Breakker and Reed continued to put up a strong fight, with Reed executing a suicide dive that nearly incapacitated himself.
As the match reached its climax, Reigns took a brutal spear intended for Uso, allowing Uso to capitalize on Breakker’s distraction. Uso delivered a decisive superkick followed by a spear and an Uso Splash on Reed, securing the victory for his team. The outcome leaves uncertainty for Breakker and Reed’s future within Rollins’ alliance.
