This remarkable win ended a 58-year drought at the venue, as India defeated England by a commanding 336 runs to level the five-match series at 1-1. Shubman Gill was instrumental in India’s success, scoring impressive innings of 269 and 161. His leadership on the field was equally commendable, as he became the first batsman in Test history to achieve scores of 250 and 150 in the same match. This achievement marked his third century in just two Tests as captain, following his earlier score of 147 in India’s initial series loss at Headingley.

Fast bowler Akash Deep delivered a standout performance, taking 10 wickets in a Test match for the first time.
