In a shocking incident reminiscent of the Bollywood film ‘Drishyam’, a woman in Maharashtra’s Palghar district is accused of murdering her husband and concealing his body beneath floor tiles. The case has drawn significant attention due to its eerie similarity to the movie’s plot, where a crime is meticulously covered up.
The victim, 35-year-old Vijay Chavan, had been reported missing for 15 days. He resided with his 28-year-old wife, Komal Chavan, in the Gadgapada area of Nalasopara East, approximately 70 kilometers from Mumbai. The mystery began to unravel when Vijay’s brothers, concerned about his prolonged absence, visited his home on a Monday morning.
Upon their visit, Vijay’s brothers noticed that some floor tiles did not match the rest of the flooring. This discrepancy raised their suspicions, prompting them to remove the tiles. To their horror, they discovered a vest buried underneath and detected a foul odor emanating from the spot. Realizing the gravity of the situation, they immediately contacted the police.
The police arrived at the scene and confirmed their worst fears by uncovering Vijay Chavan’s body buried under the tiles. The investigation quickly turned towards Komal Chavan and her neighbor Monu, who have both been missing for two days. The authorities suspect that Komal and Monu were involved in a romantic relationship and are now considered prime suspects in this murder case.
The local community is reeling from the shock of this heinous crime. The incident has sparked discussions about domestic violence and infidelity, highlighting the need for awareness and intervention in such situations. As the investigation continues, authorities are working diligently to apprehend the suspects and bring justice to Vijay Chavan’s family.
