Leaders from various political parties came together in New Delhi to celebrate the wedding reception of Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra and former Biju Janata Dal MP Pinaki Misra. The event, held at Hotel Lalit, marked a significant social occasion, following their private marriage ceremony in Germany on May 30. Mr. Misra opted for a classic white outfit with a red embroidered border, reflecting the cultural richness of the occasion.
The reception saw the presence of prominent political figures, including Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, who was seen dining with Rajya Sabha member Ranjeet Ranjan. Ms. Moitra is renowned for her impactful speeches in Parliament and represents Krishnanagar in West Bengal as a two-time MP. Mr. Misra, a senior advocate at the Supreme Court, has a distinguished political career that began with his election to the Lok Sabha from Puri in 1996 as a Congress candidate.
