Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla and the Axiom-4 mission crew have successfully undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) after completing an impressive journey. The team, aboard the Dragon (Grace) capsule, has traveled over 1.3 crore kilometers and completed more than 310 orbits around Earth. This marks a significant milestone in their mission as they prepare for their return to Earth.
The Dragon capsule, named Grace, is now on its 22.5-hour journey back to Earth. The capsule is carrying not only the crew but also over 580 tonnes of cargo. This includes more than 60 scientific experiments that were conducted during their time on the ISS. These experiments are crucial for ongoing research and development in space exploration and related fields.
The cargo on board is significant, with over 60 experiments that have been conducted in the unique environment of space. These experiments cover a range of scientific disciplines and are expected to provide valuable insights that could benefit various sectors on Earth. The safe return of these experiments is essential for analyzing data that could lead to breakthroughs in technology, health, and environmental science.
The crew’s return journey is meticulously planned to ensure a safe splashdown. Recovery teams are on standby to retrieve the Dragon capsule upon its arrival back on Earth. The successful completion of this mission will not only mark another achievement for the Axiom-4 team but also contribute to the growing body of knowledge gained from space missions.
