The revelation that President Donald Trump’s name appears in investigative files related to Jeffrey Epstein has ignited political tensions. US Attorney General Pam Bondi informed Trump of this development in May, further fueling discord within the MAGA community. The situation escalated after a public feud between Trump and Elon Musk, during which Musk claimed Trump was named in the Epstein files.
In an exclusive interview with NDTV, Teresa Helm, a survivor of Epstein’s abuse, emphasized the importance of releasing the Epstein files for transparency. Helm recounted her encounter with Ghislaine Maxwell in the early 2000s when she was 22. Maxwell, Epstein’s ex-girlfriend and close associate, offered Helm a job and conducted an interview that Helm now recognizes as part of a grooming process. Maxwell’s ability to connect emotionally and personally with Helm was a tactic to build trust, making Helm feel like she belonged and was valued.
Helm described Maxwell as polite, articulate, and emotionally engaging. This connection extended to discussions about Helm’s personal life and her home state of Ohio. Maxwell’s home, adorned with photos of presidents, further impressed Helm with its display of power and success. Once trust was established, Maxwell introduced Helm to Epstein under the guise of a second interview, leading to the assault.
The US Department of Justice is seeking to interview Maxwell as part of ongoing investigations. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking minors on behalf of Epstein. Despite this, skepticism surrounds her recent willingness to provide information. Helm questioned Maxwell’s credibility and timing, expressing doubt about the authenticity of any new evidence she might present.
Helm advocates for the release of the Epstein files to expose those complicit in the exploitation network. She urges women to trust their instincts and recognize signs of grooming, emphasizing that promises too good to be true often are. Helm now collaborates with the National Center for Sexual Exploitation to raise awareness about such issues.
