Radhika was fatally shot at her home in the upscale Sushant Lok area of Gurugram. The incident occurred around 10:30 am on a Thursday morning while she was preparing breakfast. Deepak fired five rounds from a licensed .32 bore revolver, with three bullets striking Radhika in the back.
