Tesla has launched a unique dining experience in Los Angeles, blending classic Americana with cutting-edge technology. Located on Santa Monica Boulevard, the Tesla Diner offers a nostalgic yet futuristic atmosphere, as reported by tech content creator Jacklyn Dallas. The diner features a full drive-in movie theater and serves traditional comfort foods like burgers, hot dogs, wings, and hand-spun milkshakes. These meals are presented in Cybertruck-style boxes, adding a modern twist to the retro theme.
One of the standout features of the Tesla Diner is its integration with Tesla vehicles. Visitors arriving in a Tesla can conveniently order food directly from their car screens. The audio from the 45-foot movie screens is synchronized with Tesla’s in-car sound systems, enhancing the immersive experience for diners.
Inside the diner, Tesla’s humanoid robot, Optimus, adds to the futuristic ambiance by serving popcorn to guests. The establishment also includes 80 Superchargers, making it a haven for tech enthusiasts and electric vehicle owners alike. Jacklyn Dallas described the diner as a paradise for those who appreciate technology and innovation.
Elon Musk visited the diner on July 14, 2025, expressing his admiration for the new location. He praised the team for creating one of the coolest spots in LA. Musk’s vision for this diner dates back to 2018 when he shared plans to establish an old-school drive-in restaurant at a Tesla Supercharger location in LA.
The two-storey building features an outdoor space on its top level, offering additional seating and views. Construction on this ambitious project began in late 2023, culminating in a venue that seamlessly combines past and future elements.
