Roland Mehrez Beainy, a co-owner of a Trump-themed burger chain in Texas, is facing deportation due to allegations of overstaying his visa and engaging in fraudulent marriages. The Lebanese national, who entered the United States in 2019 as a non-immigrant visitor, remained illegally after his visa expired in February 2024. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has highlighted Beainy’s criminal record, which includes an assault charge, as part of their case against him.
Beainy operates several Trump Burger locations across Texas, including Houston, Bellville, Flatonia, and Kemah. However, he never received authorization to use the Trump name or branding. Earlier this year, the Trump Organization issued a cease-and-desist letter to the Bellville location for unauthorized use of their intellectual property. This legal action underscores the ongoing branding conflicts faced by Beainy’s business.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has accused Beainy of immigration fraud, citing his involvement in “sham” marriages designed to manipulate the immigration system. Despite Beainy’s denial of these allegations, officials have revoked his petition for immigration status. ICE remains committed to enforcing immigration laws without bias towards political affiliations or business ownership.
After being arrested by ICE in May, Beainy was placed into immigration proceedings but was granted bond in June. His deportation case continues to progress through the courts. Additionally, Beainy’s burger chain has been involved in other legal disputes, including a lawsuit against a landlord in Kemah over alleged unpaid debts.
The legal challenges faced by Beainy have not only affected his immigration status but also brought significant attention to his business operations. The controversy surrounding the unauthorized use of the Trump brand and ongoing legal battles could impact the future of the Trump Burger chain in Texas.
