Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fast bowler Yash Dayal is facing serious allegations after a woman from Ghaziabad filed an FIR accusing him of ‘sexual exploitation’ under the pretext of marriage. The incident has drawn significant attention, especially as Dayal recently celebrated winning the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 title with RCB. In response to these accusations, Dayal has publicly addressed the matter and taken legal action by filing a complaint with the Prayagraj police, seeking an FIR against the woman involved.
According to Dayal, he met the woman on Instagram in 2021, which led to regular interactions. He claims that she borrowed substantial sums of money from him, allegedly for medical treatment for herself and her family, with promises of repayment that have not been fulfilled. Additionally, Dayal accuses her of borrowing money for shopping purposes. He asserts that he possesses evidence to substantiate these claims.
The cricketer’s complaint also includes allegations against two members of the woman’s family and several others. He has requested that the Khuldabad police station register a case against them. The situation escalated when Dayal learned about the woman’s complaint filed with the Ghaziabad police, prompting him to seek legal recourse.
The FIR lodged by the woman at Indirapuram police station accuses Dayal under BNS Section 69, which pertains to sexual intercourse by deceitful means, including false promises of marriage. A senior police official confirmed that action was initiated following a complaint made to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath through the integrated grievance redressal system (IGRS) on June 21. The woman alleges that she was physically exploited by Dayal during their five-year relationship.
This case highlights the complexities and challenges faced by public figures when personal relationships become entangled with legal disputes. As both parties pursue legal avenues, the situation remains under investigation.
