Alongside Visakhapatnam and Jabalpur, Gorakhpur was declared a ‘Best SaifaiMitra Surakshit Shehar.’

Chief Minister Adityanath addressed the challenges faced in urban development, particularly the issue of encroachments on public infrastructure like roads and drains. He cited Ravi Kishan’s house as an example, advising against building over drains to prevent public inconvenience and ensure efficient sewage flow. In addition to his remarks, Yogi Adityanath inaugurated and laid the foundation for projects worth Rs 253 crore in Gorakhpur. These initiatives include the state’s first urban flood management cell and an early warning system, aimed at enhancing the city’s infrastructure and disaster preparedness.
